What a surprise -- I didn't expect to get such an accelerated roast, compared to Roast 2 , just from raising the voltage.

Roast 3 uses about the same voltage as Roast 1, and that roast ran hot and fast also, but Roast 3 runs faster, hotter -- perhaps related to less weight (bean mass) and chaff increase, along with the higher voltage . . .

You can see that chaff almost completely blocks the screen (imagine what 150grams would look like) -- but there is also a lot of chaff in Roast 2, nearly as much. The difference in operating voltage is about 5 volts, under load (115V versus 110V). Could this really be the source of such a large difference between Roasts 2 & 3? Further testing is required, but I will be using the lower voltage setting of 118V no-load / 110V load, for a while.

A speedier roast, in total, and the drying phase 80F-300F is much too short. Yet my heating stage 300F-390F was way too long.
